the vision of 1 man STEVEN JULIANO to bring adult only nightlife back to nyc. the shadow’s sister club bentley’s located on 40th street and madison avenue was the longest continually running night club in nyc.

steven was the genius behind many of nyc’s greatest night club’s. bentley’s, the silver shadow, the union square, the red parrot, emerald city and finally the shadow.

the live radio broadcast’s that you hear till this day were created by steven.

the shadow broadcasted live on 107.5 wbls for 18 years, along with broadcasting live on 98.7 kiss fm and hot 97 for many years simultaneously.

the shadow became the premier large dance club in nyc for hip hop and rnb, along with a separate room for reggae, soca and calypso very quickly in nyc.

IT WAS the place to be in new york because you never knew who would show up.

the world’s greatest dj’s and performers are part of the shadow’s rich history. some of the greatest names in hip hop and rnb have touched the shadow’s stage. ice-t, busta rhymes, common, missy elliot, m.o.p., keith sweat, big daddy kane, the legendary grandmaster caz and melle mel, the force md’s just to name a few.
